Capacity Building

India PPP Capacity Building Trust (I-CAP Trust) was setup in October 2007 with the primary objective to spearhead capacity building and knowledge sharing initiatives for government agencies in planning, designing, tendering and implementation of infrastructure projects in the country and abroad. Setup by IDFC Foundation (a not for profit 100% subsidiary company of IDFC Ltd) in October 2007, it serves as a dedicated training delivery, pedagogy development and knowledge repository platform in the infrastructure sector. Over 7000 Government functionaries have been trained by ICAP since its inception including a variety of stakeholders in the infrastructure sector such as elected representatives, senior civil servants, municipal officials & engineers, private developers and others. The domain expertise of ICAP is spread across a wide-range of infrastructure sectors such as urban, transportation, energy, tourism and industrial infrastructure.

With the restructuring of IDFC Group, in 2017, the trusteeship of I-CAP has been passed on from IDFC Foundation to the Infrastructure Development Corporation (Karnataka) Limited (iDeCK).   iDeCK is constituted in the year 2000 as a joint venture company by IDFC Ltd., HDFC Ltd., and Government of Karnataka.  The mandate of iDeCK is to further catalyse well-planned, future-ready infrastructure projects. Over the last 18 years, iDeCK has accumulated a rich and diverse experience in the development of over 650 infrastructure projects in different states across the country and abroad.
